The Association was formed in 1973 as a footpath, conservation and amenity body. It is a registered charity (No. 273433), and has about 250 members. It is now involved in a wide range of activities, including rambling, social events, tree planting, footpath clearance, local history, conservation work etc. It has close links with many national, regional and local bodies, and works in co-operation with Parish, District and County Councils as well as Groundwork Thames Valley.
The Association publishes this 22 page guide to the Village which includes items of local history, reminiscences of times gone by and evocative drawings by Lorna Atkinson. It is extremely good value for £1, and even better if you buy 10 for £7 - so why not buy a batch to sell or give to your friends and relatives? At present it is being sold by Cornerstones, Richings Park PO and some newsagents.
If you cannot find a copy, contact Paul Graham, 01753 655183 or email. Paul's address is Footpath Secretary, Iver & District Countryside Assn Grovehurst, Langley Park Road, Iver, SL0 0JG. By post they are £1.25 - please make cheques payable to IDCA.
